Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026 • Effective immediately

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FilePilot (filepilot.in), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should refrain from using the service.

2. Description of Service

FilePilot provides free, client-side digital utility tools for processing, compressing, converting, and organizing documents and images in web browsers. We do not provide persistent cloud storage or file-hosting capabilities.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use FilePilot for any unlawful purpose, or in any manner that could disable, overburden, or impair the functioning of the website infrastructure. Because processing occurs on your own machine, you retain sole responsibility for the legality, ownership, and content of all files you manipulate.

4. Intellectual Property & Trademarks

The FilePilot name, branding, visual design, custom components, and source code are protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

All other brand names, formats (e.g. PDF by Adobe, Word by Microsoft), and registered trademarks mentioned are the property of their respective holders and are referenced strictly for functional compatibility description.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

FilePilot is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we strive for extreme mathematical precision and stability in file conversions, we cannot guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with corrupt or non-standard file structures.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall FilePilot, its creators, or contributors be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the tools. Users are encouraged to maintain independent backups of original files prior to performing modifications.
